Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She currently holds the position of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the owner of the National Basketball Association. Buss is an California native, and was raised by a well-off family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972 and she started to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. At the age of 19, she was employed for the family's business. She then founded an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the position of vice president for the Lakers. Her father died in 2013, and the ownership for the Lakers was passed on to Buss as well as her siblings through a family trust which gave each sibling the same vote. She assumed her duties as the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that is a pro-wrestling organization.
